At long last,  Avengers: Endgame has finally arrived and one thing is for certain, it’s going to make A LOT of money!

As reported by Hollywood Reporter‘s Pamela McClintock, Marvel Studio’s Endgame is projected to make $850 to $900 million globally at launch, and an equally impressive $270 to $300 million in North America.

To put Endgame‘s protected ticket sales into perspective, Avengers: Infinity War currently holds the record for biggest global opening with a record of $640.5 million, as well as the biggest domestic launch, $257.6 million. Prior to Infinity War, the record was held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, another Disney owned property.

To add more fuel to the fire, some believe that Endgame has the potential to pull in $250 million at launch in China alone, which leads us to believe Endgame will have absolutely no problem reaching the $1 billion mark by the end of opening week, especially if North America can reach the $300 million their expected to bring in.

Due to Endgame having an official run time of three hours and 58 seconds (the longest MCU movie to date), showtimes will be reduced, but as a result, Disney made sure the film will show in a record-breaking 4,600 theatres across North America by increasing the number of screens and showtimes. Disney is pulling out all the stops.

With domestic revenue down 17% over this time last year and the box office in need of something big, Endgame is exactly what 2019 needed. In fact, when you consider the potential box office earning of upcoming films like The Lion KingPokémon: Detective Pikachu, and Aladdin, 2019 could potentially be the biggest year in box office history.

Endgame officially opens in China today and in the US and Canada tomorrow, while Russa will have to wait until Monday, April 29.
