Warner Bros. released the final trailer for director Rob Letterman’s Detective Pikachu today and it features a handful of new Pokémon, as well as an extended look at the terrifying Mewtwo.
The first live-action Pokémon movie hits theatres on May 10, 2019, and stars Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, Kathryn Newton as Lucy Stevens, Omar Chaparro as Sebastian, Karan Soni as Jack, Ken Watanabe as Detective Yoshida, and Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Detective Pikachu.
Here is a quick synopsis of the film.
A young man (Justice Smith) joins forces with Detective Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds) to unravel the mystery behind his father’s disappearance. Chasing clues through the streets of Ryme City, the dynamic duo soon discover a devious plot that poses a threat to the Pokémon universe.
