Few bad tattoos go as far as this interesting interpretation of Charmander which was posted on Reddit by a user who reported that his friend was a little intoxicated when he decided to give himself a tattoo with no prior artistic experience.
This side by side comparison shows the real animated Charmander and the man’s tattoo, which looks like a cross between a creature from ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and the doodle of a young child.
Interestingly, the man’s new ink was inspired by this Tim Burton style drawing by Illustrator Hat Boy, posted on Tumblr. Too bad the actual tattoo falls more than a little short of Hat Boy’s creative rendition.
The tattoo was SO BAD that its actually gone on to inspire some ‘Bad Charmander’ Pokemon merchandise which users are sharing all over social media, including this ‘one of a kind’ plush which sold on ebay for $30 USD.
