Three ‘Price is Right’ Contestants Just Made Game Show History

The Price is Right has been around forever, but there’s still room for landmark moments on everyone’s favorite daytime game show.

On the episode that aired today, the three contestants competing for a spot in the Showcase Showdown collectively pulled off a miracle. Cathryn, Manfred, and Jessica all managed to score the perfect $1.00 while spinning the big wheel. If you’re thinking to yourself, “But wait, Goliath, people tie for $1.00 all the time on this show,” you’re kind of right. But mostly wrong.

Cathryn, Manfred, and Jessica appear to be the first time that three different contestants have all spun for $1.00, with all of them needing two spins to reach the Holy Grail total. That is, no one landed directly on the $1.00 spot on the wheel in their first spin.

Unfortunately, there can only be one winner. In a spin-off, Manfred came out the winner and went on to win a cruise and a new car in the Showcase Showdown. So there you have it. Game show history was made today and now you know all about it. You’re welcome.
