This ‘Stranger Things’ Take On ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ Is Totally Adorable

There have been no shortage of Stranger Things tributes since the popular Netflix series made its debut back in July, but this latest one, which imagines the show’s cast as Peanuts characters, is pretty much perfect.

A Stranger Things Christmas, created by filmmakers Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez, takes the characters from Stranger Things and reimagines them as Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang during the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas special. Will Byers is Charlie Brown and the short takes place after Stranger Things’ first season, following Will as he tries to adjust to life outside of the Upside Down.

The short pays homage to classic Charlie Brown moments, but gives them a Stranger Things spin. For instance, Eleven is running the 5 cent psychiatric help booth and Steve Harrington (who else?) is tickling the ivories on Schroeder’s piano. However, the best moment of all has to be Snoopy’s reveal. We won’t spoil it, but you’ll totally love it.

Oh and there’s a sly reference to #JusticeForBarb thrown in for good measure. It’s a bit strange that the filmmakers are putting this out with Halloween right around the corner — someone has to have made a Stranger Things-themed take on It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by now, right? — but we’ll take it!
