‘The Warriors’ Is Being Turned Into A TV Show

The cult classic movie The Warriors, about a street gang attempting to make their way home through the deadly streets of New York City, while being stalked by rival groups, is getting a new life as an hour-long drama series for Hulu. The show is reportedly being created by Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, and are currently working as directors for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War films. Previously, the Russo Brothers had made their name on television, directing several episodes of Arrested Development and Community.

There is no timetable for the debut of the show. However, in a nice coincidence, this announcement was accompanied by the news that the Rockstar-produced video game based on The Warriors has just been re-released for Playstation 4. The game, which has not been remastered for this latest release, originally came out in 2005.
