The Punisher Could Be Appearing In More Marvel TV Series

When Jon Bernthal appeared on our screen’s as The Punisher in Season Two of Netflix’s Daredevil, it breathed new life into a character that had previously failed to make much of a mark in two separate feature film attempts. In fact, fan reaction was so positive that Netflix decided to give The Punisher it’s own series, even though that was never in the original “Marvel on Netflix” plans.

Filming of The Punisher series hasn’t started yet, since the people involved have been busy with the debut season of Luke Cage and the upcoming Iron Fist series. There’s also Season Two of Jessica Jones and Season Three of Daredevil to get made, along with the collaboration series The Defenders. But if you follow the clues, there’s a good chance that Bernthal may make at least a cameo appearance in one (or more) of those series before he gets his own show.

New York Comic Con recently announced that Bernthal’s scheduled appearances at the event would be reduced “due to his Netflix production schedule.” That means he’s probably reprising his Punisher role in something. Although the Comic Con specifically mentioned his Netflix production schedule, there’s always an off-chance that he makes an appearance in something like Agents of SHIELD, which airs on ABC.
