Steve From ‘Stranger Things’ Finally Got To Meet His “Son” Jean-Ralphio

As we’ve talked about before, one of the greatest fan theories to come out of summer 2016’s TV phenomenon Stranger Things is the idea that the show’s Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) is the father of Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz) from Parks and Recreation.

Although no one who is actually involved in making creative decisions for Stranger Things has confirmed this connection to be canon, Schwartz went on record stating his character was in fact Steve’s son (while also filling in a few bizarre backstory details of his own) and that’s good enough for us. Now, Schwartz and Keery have met in real life, and according to the laws of phony internet reporting, this is all the confirmation we’ll ever need.

In all seriousness though, you have to give props to both actors for seizing on this internet obsession and really making it their own. The pair documented their meeting with a series of photos, which show them wearing matching flannel shirts and shaving together just like a good father and son should.

We can only hope that Stranger Things Season 2 throws in an Easter egg or two referencing this historic meeting. Or at the very least show this picture hanging from Steve and Nancy’s wall:
