New ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Teaser Introduces The “Bad Batch”

They call themselves the “Bad Batch.”

Two weeks after dropping the season seven teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Disney has just released a second teaser, and without giving too much away, the clip highlights a lesser-known fraction of clones known as “Clone Force 99,” a group of soldiers who failed to meet the standards of their Kaminoan creators.

The seventh and final season arrives on the Disney+ streaming service on February 21, 2020. Check out the latest teaser trailer below, courtesy of Disney:

The animated series originally premiered back in 2008 and ran for six seasons before unceremoniously coming to an end in 2014. As luck would have it, The Clone Wars was later renewed for a seventh and final season, which will consist of 12 episodes in total.

According to Disney, the first episode of season seven is called “The Bad Batch,” and according to the synopsis, will be about Captain Rex and the Bad Batch infiltrating an enemy base on the rocky planet on Anaxes, located int the Azure sector of the galaxy’s Core region.

The second episode, titled “A Distant Echo,” follows Anakin Skywalker, Rex, and the Bad Batch on their mission to the planet Skako Minor, where they make a shocking discovery.
