You can’t outrun destiny just because you’re terrified of it.

Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming Witcher series, and we can now officially confirm the TV show will premiere on the streaming service on December 20, 2019. Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, the upcoming series will pull from Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels of the same name, rather than the popular video game franchise like some fans had hoped. The web television series also stars Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as King Eist Tuirseach.
