‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 May Finally Bring Back A Long-Lost Character

As Game of Thrones begins entering its twilight years, it seems only fitting that the show will try to wrap up certain storylines that have been left in limbo for multiple seasons. In particular, there have been certain characters that have simply disappeared from the show, only to never be mentioned again, but it looks Season 7 may finally see the return of a character who has been missing in action since Season 3.

Yes, we may finally get to see Gendry stop rowing.

Joe Dempsie, the actor who played the last living Baratheon bastard and Arya Stark’s friend over the course of the show’s first three seasons, was spotted by fans getting off a plane in the Norther Ireland capital of Belfast. Naturally, this has led to speculation that Dempsie will be reprising his Game of Thrones role, as Belfast is a primary filming location for the HBO series.

Currently, Dempsie’s IMDB page does not show any current projects that would place him in Belfast, so either he’s just on vacation or he’s getting back in the boat. With the fight for the Iron Throne about to enter its final act and Gendry having one of the strongest claims to the throne, we’re sincerely hoping for the latter scenario.

#GendryWatch2017 is officially in full swing.
