Game of Thrones: Peter Dinklage Reveals Why He Was Scared To Do Season 6

Although Tyrion Lannister is arguably one of the “safest” characters on Game of Thrones, in the sense that he probably won’t be killed off anytime soon, that didn’t stop actor Peter Dinklage from being nervous about filming the upcoming season, which premieres this Sunday.

Season 6 will be the first in the show’s history to move forward without one of author George R.R. Martin’s books to pull from, a fact that Dinklage cites as being a cause for concern for the show’s actors, himself included. “It’s a bit scary for the actors,” Dinklage said. “Everyone before this new when they were going to perish.”

“Sean Bean knew he was going to die in Season 1. Richard Madden knew he was going to die in Season 3. But now literally no one knows.”

Fortunately, Dinklage has a great tactic for making sure Tyrion gets to stay on the show: keeping the showrunners happy.

“Dave [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] hold our future in their hands,” Dinklage explained. “You’ve got to keep Dave and Dan in their good graces [to stay on the show]. Wine and dine them, really.”

We’ll drink to that! Source:
