“Celebrating Marvel’s Stan Lee” Is Coming To ABC This Month

Comic book fans will be happy to know a one-hour TV special titled Celebrating Marvel’s Stan Lee is coming to ABC and it will air on December 20th. We’re being told the special will pay tribute to the late comic book legend with never before seen footage and special appearance by Tom Hiddleston, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Mark Hamill, Jimmy Kimmel, Method Man, Lauren Ridloff, Kevin Smith, Seth Green, Bob Iger, Todd McFarlane, Kevin Feige, Gerry Conway and many more.

Here is the official description of the series, courtesy of ABC:

Filmed in part in front of a live audience at The New Amsterdam Theater in New York City, “Celebrating Marvel’s Stan Lee” takes viewers on an action-packed journey throughout the life of Lee and across the Marvel Universe, sharing never-before-seen interviews and archive footage with Lee himself from deep within the Marvel and ABC News archives.

The comic book legend passed away on November 12, 2018, at the age of 95. During his remarkable life, Stan Lee appeared in over 20 Marvel movies, with his final cameo coming in the record-breaking movie, Avengers Endgame. For those who missed it, Lee appears in the film as a de-aged version of himself, speeding down the road and passing the army base Camp Lehigh while shouting, “Hey man, make love, not war.” His final cameo was made even more special knowing his late wife, Joan Boocock Lee, was also digitally recreated and appeared riding beside Lee during the now-iconic scene. Joan sadly passed away on July 6, 2017, a few years before her husband.

Excelsior! R.I.P Legend.
