Peretti has played outrageous scene-stealer Gina Linetti since the show’s debut in 2013 and was largely absent from the fifth season due to maternity leave. She next stars in the indie film Friendsgiving.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was canceled by Fox in May before being picked up for a 13-episode sixth season by NBC. Last month, the network ordered an additional five episodes, bringing the total number to 18.
