The upcoming season of Better Call Saul will include scenes set during the events of Breaking Bad.

As reported by EW, co-creator Vince Gilligan confirmed that Season 4 of the spinoff series will feature a subplot that ties the events of the show more closely to Breaking Bad and more specifically, Walter White.

“We have a subplot that very squarely gets into Breaking Bad territory and brings us into the world — or at least points us on a path toward the world of Walter White and the territory of Walter White,” Gilligan said. “I can’t wait for folks to see that.”

Gilligan did not offer any further details about how these scenes will play out, but his comments come just a few weeks removed from his statement about wanting to bring Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) into Better Call Saul somehow. Coincidentally, Cranston and Paul reunited this week in the infamous Breaking Bad RV for a fundraising initiative for the Kind Campaign and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Better Call Saul Season 4 premieres on August 6 on AMC. It’s already been confirmed that the upcoming season will feature a character from Breaking Bad.
