Agumon Digivolves In New Trailer For The ‘Digimon Adventure’ Reboot

An all-new trailer for the Digimon Adventure reboot series has been released, showing Agumon digivolving into the cranial skinned Greymon and much more.

Digimon Adventure is a reboot of the 1999 series of the same name and eighth of the Digimon franchise. The series will act as a modern retelling of the beloved ’90s show, with a few minor changes to the story and updated animation. Those familiar with Dragon Ball Super might recognize the voices of Takeshi Kusao (Joe Kido) and Masako Nozawa (Narrator). Kusao and Nozawa are joined by the voices of Megumi Han (Takeru Takaishi), Yumiko Kobayashi (Koshiro Izumi), Mariko Kono (Mimi Tachikawa), and Daisuke Namikawa (Yamato Ishida). Digimon Adventure is scheduled to premiere on April 5, 2020.

Taichi is preparing for a summer camping trip until he encounters a strange phenomenon that sweeps him up into the Digital World along with the other DigiDestined.

Created by Akiyoshi Hongo, Digimon Adventure aired in Japan from March 1999 to March 2000. Not too long after, an English-dubbed version (rebranded as Digimon: Digital Monsters) aired on Fox Kids Network between August 1999 and June 2000. The popular anime series spawned various video game adaptations, novels, and films, most notably, Digimon: the Movie (2000).
