Adult Swim Announces New ‘Robot Chicken-The Walking Dead’ Special

If you feel ever wanted to watch stop motion action figures duke it out with stop motion action figures dressed up like zombies, then you’re in luck!

Adult Swim just announced that Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s animated dark comedy Robot Chicken will get a mash up with Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead in an upcoming special television event. It won’t be the first time the two universes have mixed, as Kirkman (the creator of both the comic and television series) previously appeared on Robot Chicken (in action figure form) in 2012, providing his own voice. Naturally, his character ended up being devoured by zombies, because Robot Chicken is a violent and offensive show. And we mean that in a good way.

Further details of the project are not yet available, but we think an entire Robot Chicken episode dedicated to The Walking Dead would be great. The show typically airs multiple unrelated short sketches, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes long. It does have a great knack for poking fun at all things pop culture, and The Walking Dead is certainly near the top of the most popular media franchises around right now.
