ABC Cancels ‘Agent Carter’, Passes On ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’

With TV upfronts looming, ABC was forced to make some decisions on the remainder of their returning shows, which had been sitting on the bubble for months at this point. And as expected, despite finishing their second season with a cliffhanger, Marvel’s Agent Carter will not be renewed. It was likely no surprise for fans of the show, as even getting a second season was seen as a surprise, due to Carter‘s low ratings.

In more bad news for televised Marvel properties, ABC also decided to pass for a second time on Marvel’s Most Wanted, a spin-off of Agents of SHIELD that would have followed the adventures of Bobbi (Adrienne Palicki) and Hunter (Nick Blood) after being disavowed. This comes as somewhat of a shock, as it had been assumed that ABC would pick up Most Wanted, to the point that Palicki and Blood were written off of SHIELD in preparation for their new show.

In addition to Agent Carter, ABC also cancelled Galavant, Castle, Nashville, The Family, and The Muppets.
