The internet was quick to cast blame when it was reported in early May that Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac, aka Syxx, aka The 1-2-3- Kid) had been arrested at LAX airport for possession of meth and marijuana. Having a long and public history of drug addiction, many wrestling fans feared the worst for Waltman. However, in the days after the arrest, the former NWO member insisted that it was all a misunderstanding.
He claimed the “meth” pills were actually a supplement for a yeast infection. After the Los Angeles district attorney finished testing the pills, it turns out that Waltman was telling the truth. The meth charges have been dropped, and the D.A. also said that they won’t be pursuing the marijuana charges, as the amount Waltman had in his possession was small enough to be considered “legal” per state law. It should be noted that any possession of marijuana is still illegal under U.S. federal law, but there has been little attempt by the feds to act on small-time possession charges.
The news from the district attorney backs up the polygraph test that Waltman took on his AfterBuzz TV show, where the administrator of the test concluded that he was telling the truth when he denied relapsing on his addiction problems.
“It’s a crazy story, man. I’m not hating on anyone who didn’t believe [me],” he said.
