It was reported earlier this week that former WWE superstar X-Pac (aka Sean Waltman, aka The 1-2-3 Kid, aka Syxx) was arrested at LAX airport for have meth on him. It caused him to miss a scheduled booking in the U.K., and for about 24 hours the internet wrestling community feared he might actually be dead.
Thankfully he’s still very much alive, but the arrest wasn’t exactly good news either. Waltman has a history of drug use, and fans feared that he had relapsed. He took to Twitter on Tuesday to insist that he was clean, and that the pills that the police logged as “methamphetamine” were actually for on ongoing yeast infection.
Then, he reiterated the point on his X-Pac 1-2-360 show, claiming that lab tests would vindicate him.
What they say was methamphetamine, was actually … I’ve had a yeast infection, believe it or not, for the better part of a year. I had some candida cleanse capsules, that I got from Vitamin World, and apparently the meth fairy came and turned them into crystal meth. That’s the story.
With my past, I can totally understand anybody rolling their eyes at my story. Once the lab work comes back, this should be all cleared up. But in the meantime … oh what a mess.
That was the only way they were going to get anybody to take me — otherwise they were going to have to let me go. And this one guy was not going to have that, it wasn’t going to happen. Now, whether or not they actually think that there was a meth-like substance in there, or they were trying to stick it to me — who knows? (Transcript via Cageside Seats)
The whole situation sounds messy, and doesn’t even touch on the initial reports that Waltman was also found with marijuana and an outstanding DUI warrant. Later in his show, Waltman claimed to have a medical marijuana card, but that customs officials weren’t accepting it.
