WWE Smackdown Live Match Results – November 15th, 2016

It’s the 900th episode of Smackdown, and that means special guests, as we’ve got the return of The Undertaker, plus Edge is back for a special edition of The Cutting Edge. In addition, Dolph Ziggler defends the Intercontinental Title against The Miz, in what might be the title’s last night on Smackdown! We’ve got all the results from Smackdown Live 900 right here!

Live from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon opened the show by running down everything that’s been advertised for the 900th episode, then getting straight to the first match.

– The Miz d. Dolph Ziggler to win the Intercontinental Championship (pinfall, small package reversal)

Maryse pushed Miz over while he was in a small package, allowing him to pin Ziggler. Miz will now defend the title at Survivor Series against Sami Zayn.

Alexa Bliss showed Daniel Bryan footage of her foot being under the rope when she lost to Becky Lynch last week. Bryan refused to reverse the referee’s decision, but admitted Bliss will get a rematch in the future. Natalya showed up and tried to motivate Bliss with Chumbawumba lyrics (although we question is Bliss is actually old enough to recognize the song), which went poorly.

– Kalisto d. Oney Lorcan (pinfall, Salida Del Sol)

Backstage, at the behest of Heath Slater and Rhyno, King Booker read a proclamation to motivate the Smackdown Survivor Series tag team, but was interrupted by Breezango, in their role as fashion police. Booker became serious, mocked Breezango’s look and demanded they dress like team players.

– Nikki Bella vs Carmella ended in a No Contest when Nikki attacked Charlotte, who was sitting in the front row.

This prompted the rest of Raw’s women’s team to rush the ring and attack Nikki. Carmella and the rest of Team Smackdown eventually came to the rescue, leading to a brawl. Smackdown ended up with the upper hand after Nia Jax took herself out by accidentally plowing through a barricade.

A long video package aired to promote Lesnar-Goldberg.

– The Hype Bros, Breezango, The Usos, and American Alpha d. The Spirit Squad, The Vaudevillains, The Ascension, and The Headbangers (Chad Gable pinned Thrasher, Grand Amplitude)

Edge was introduced by Tony Chimel, because of course he was, for The Cutting Edge with the Smackdown men’s team. Apparently someone clued in that Bray Wyatt probably shouldn’t be wearing a Smackdown t-shirt since Raw. Edge shook James Ellsworth’s hand in recognition of him making the most of his opportunity on Smackdown (after first faking out AJ Styles), but Styles interrupted a Five Second Pose. Edge continued to ignore Styles and asked Randy Orton why he’s aligned with Bray Wyatt, then expressed worry to Shane McMahon that this team was really united. Styles blamed Ambrose for starting the brawl against Raw on Monday, and Ambrose reminds Styles that they have a TLC Match after Survivor Series. The gong hits to break up the arguing, and The Undertaker arrives. Taker offered his support for Shane as GM and declared that WrestleMania would no longer define who he was. He declared that he was back, and that Smackdown had always been his home. If anyone on Team Smackdown failed at Survivor Series, they would fear the Dead Man’s wrath.
