WWE Signs Several Top Female Wrestlers

According to the Wrestling Observer, the first big signings related to WWE’s upcoming Women’s Division tournament have been made, and as was rumored a few weeks ago, they will be some of the top independent stars in the world. Among the known names believed to have signed on the dotted line are former CHIKARA Grand Champion Kimber Lee (who recently appeared on NXT TV as an opponent for Ember Moon), Heidi Lovelace (who challenged Lee for the Grand Championship at one point, becoming the first time a major US promotion had featured two women fighting for the company’s top title), and New Zealand native Evie (who has also appeared as enhancement talent in NXT before). They join UK wrestler Nixon Newell, who reportedly signed earlier in the month. Lee and Lovelace are expected to being at the Performance Center in January, with Evie and Newell arriving closer to April.

As the date of the Women’s Division tournament grows closer, expect more names to join the list of newly signed developmental talent very soon!
