It’s the night after Clash of Champions, and with Raw facing the prospect of losing viewers to both Monday Night Football and the Presidential debates, this show could be heavy on rematches and exposition, as evidenced by both announced matches being ones that took place at the PPV on Sunday. With that in mind, here are the results from this week’s episode of Raw!

Live From Cinncinnati, Ohio

– Roman Reigns vs Rusev for the United States Title went to a Double Count-Out when they brawled into the crowd.

Post-match, Rusev eventually introduced a steel chair and left Reigns laying, but Reigns no-sold the assault and hit a Spear on Rusev. Reigns then taunted Rusev and hit him with the chair when Rusev tried to crawl away. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen.

Mick Foley came out to address the terrible ending to the Cesaro-Sheamus match at Clash of Champions. He introduced both Sheamus and Cesaro (who is now more athletic tape than man). Both men demanded their “championship opportunity”. Foley gives them what they wanted, by forcing them to tag up and fight for the Raw Tag Team Titles, against the winner of the next match. So nobody’s happy, and they just fought seven matches (actually nine) for a chance at a midcard title while teaming with a partner they hate!

– The New Day d. Gallows and Anderson to retain the Raw Tag Team Titles (Kofi pinned Anderson, Trouble in Paradise)

– Bayley d. Anna Fields (pinfall, Bayley To Belly Suplex)

Foley blamed Stephanie for all the problems with the main event at Clash of Champions, and said she’s clearly working with Triple H, but Stephanie claimed none of that is true and turned around and blamed Mick for everything going wrong. She also said she hired Foley for his brains, as further proof that she’s lying.

– Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander d. Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado (Swann pinned Gulak, Jacknife Pin)

– Cesaro and Sheamus d. Nick Cutler and Willis Williams (Cesaro pinned Cutler, Brogue Kick)

Charlotte cut a victory promo after beating Sasha and Bayley at Clash of Champions. She’s interrupted by Sasha, who wasn’t pinned in the match last night, and wants her one-on-one rematch immediately. Charlotte agreed to the match…next week. Sasha slapped Charlotte and locked Dana in the Banks Statement, then tossed both of them out of the ring.

Foley tried to stop Seth Rollins from confronting Kevin Owens, but Rollins refused to listen, and accused Foley of being little more than a puppet of Stephanie and Triple H.

– TJ Perkins d. Tony Nese (submission, Figure 4 Kneebar)

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel was next, as Jericho added Danny Masterson, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Rollins, and a random cameraman to his list before introducing his best friend in the world, Kevin Owens. Owens cut a victory promo, claiming that Seth Rollins’ rib injury was karma for all those he injured in the last year and a half. Rollins attempted to retort, but was blocked by officials and security, who forced him backstage. Jericho and Owens celebrated, but were interrupted by Enzo and Big Cass. Jericho added them to the list (which Owens spell-checked), and was accused of being Santa Claus, to which Jericho threatened to come down and sit on their lap. Hilarity ensued, and a match resulted.

– Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho d. Enzo Amore and Big Cass (Owens pinned Enzo, Powerbomb)
