WWE Raw Match Results – October 24th, 2016

It is the final show before Hell in a Cell, and with the card just about set, all that’s left is to make sure the ongoing feuds are at a fever pitch headed into the PPV. Topping off the show is a massive Triple Threat between Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, and Seth Rollins, but in addition, Brock Lesnar will be in the building, planning to respond to Goldberg!

Live from Minneapolis, Minnesota

Chris Jericho came out to announce that the Triple Threat match was cancelled, due to someone stealing the List of Jericho. Jericho planned to hold up the show until he got the List back, which brought out Kevin Owens, who agreed to help find the List, but still wanted the match to go ahead. Stephanie McMahon arrived, and promised to get the List returned, but told Jericho he was still going to wrestle. Finally, Rollins appeared, with the List in tow. He revealed that Jericho had put both Stephanie and Owens on the List, then made a new List detailing the parts of Kevin Owens he was going to hurt at Hell in a Cell. Rollins left after telling Jericho he could have the List if he came and got it.

– Enzo Amore d. Karl Anderson (pinfall, Big Boot by Cass)

In an interview from a dark room, Rusev claimed he would get revenge on Roman Reigns for disrespecting his wife and family, and stealing the US Title.

– Sheamus and Cesaro d. The New Day (Sheamus pinned Big E, Brogue Kick)

Dana Brooke and Bayley had an arm-wrestling match. In the first round, Dana forced Bayley to use her injured arm and won. In the second round, Bayley used her uninjured arm and was about to win when Dana punched her. Bayley hit a Bayley-2-Belly on Dana to turn the tables. Someone, Raw managed to get the crowd to chant “Boring” during a segment involving Bayley.

– Bo Dallas d. Curtis Axel (pinfall, rollup)

Backstage, Jericho found the List in the hands of Braun Strowman, who returned it after Jericho says “please”. Jericho added Strowman to the List…after Strowman left.

Back to the dark room, as Reigns talked about having the advantage because he’s wrestled in Cell matches before.

– Golden Truth d. Shining Stars (Truth pinned Primo, Double Flapjack)

Next up was a contract signing between Charlotte and Sasha Banks, moderated by Mick Foley. After some trash-talk, Foley refused to give Charlotte the contract to sign, because he wanted to warn them about the dangers of Hell in a Cell. Despite Foley’s repeated attempts to explain the risks, Charlotte and Sasha brush him off to trade more barbs, capped off by both signing the contract.

– Rich Swann d. Brian Kendrick (pinfall, rollup)

Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn did not take place. Braun insulted Zayn and said he wasn’t any competition, so Zayn goaded him until Strowman chased him out of and around the ring. Zayn hit dropkicks to keep Strowman at ringside, but went for a flying crossbody and was caught and tossed into the barricade. Strowman walked off, but Zayn got up and continued to challenge Strowman from the ring.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out, and Heyman said that “Goldberg” chants really annoy his client. They also insulted Brock’s hometown crowd, calling them phonies for chanting “Suplex City”, which of course did not work. Heyman threatened to unleash Lesnar on the people in the crowd chanting for Goldberg, resulting in dueling chants. After some awkward standing around listening to chants, Brock’s music played and he and Heyman left.

– Seth Rollins d. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat match (Rollins pinned both Owens and Jericho, double rollup)

Jericho and Owens attacked Rollins after the match, until referees arrived and sent them to the back. However, Rollins found a second wind and charged Owens on the entrance ramp, leading to referees and officials trying to keep them separated. Ultimately, Owens got the upper hand and powerbombed Rollins onto the ring apron.
