WWE Raw Match Results – July 25, 2016

Announce Team: Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves

– Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon brought out the entire Raw roster onto the new stage to announce the creation of the WWE Universal Championship, which will be exclusive to Raw. The first champion will be determined by two Fatal Four-Way matches, with the winners squaring off in the main event. The winner of that match will face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam for the title.

– Finn Balor defeated Kevin Owens, Cesaro, and Rusev in a Fatal Four-Way Match to advance to the #1 Contender Match (Balor pinned Rusev, Coup de Grace)

– Nia Jax defeated Britt Baker (pinfall, Legdrop)

– Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus, Chris Jericho, and Sami Zayn in a Fatal Four-Way Match to advance to the #1 Contender Match (Reigns pinned Jericho, Spear)

– The New Day celebrated their record-setting reign as WWE Tag Team Champions, but were attacked by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

– Neville defeated “Mr Irrelevant” Curtis Axel (pinfall, Red Arrow)

– Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte to win the WWE Women’s Championship (submission, Banks Statement)

– Braun Strowman defeated James Ellsworth (pinfall, Reverse Chokeslam)

– Enzo and Cass defeated The Shining Stars (Cass pinned Epico, Big Boot)

Epico was distracted when Golden Truth entered the ring while hunting Pokemon. It’s official, Pokemon Go is everywhere.
