The Royal Rumble is only two weeks away, and Roman Reigns finally lost that pesky US Title, so he can concentrate on the Universal Title, which actually cares about. Plus, Brock Lesnar is in the house, which means he might do something interesting! Here’s all the results from this week’s episode of Raw!
Live from Little Rock, Arkansas
Roman Reigns kicked off the show, without the US Title, but it’s whatever, because he’s got a Universal Title match in two weeks. Paul Heyman interrupted to remind everyone that Brock Lesnar is in the building, which is important because Brock will inevitably win the Rumble and thus, face Reigns at WrestleMania if Reigns can beat Owens. Reigns threatened violence towards Heyman, but Jericho and Owens entered to point out that they’re being overlooked, since Owens is currently the Universal Champion and all. Jericho teased a US Champion vs Universal Champion match at WrestleMania, although Owens seemed less enthused about that. Next, Seth Rollins joined the party, and also declared his intent to be in the main event of WrestleMania. He was followed by Braun Strowman, who stared down Reigns, then Lesnar, and finally Sami Zayn, who ran out of the crowd and attacked Strowman from behind, triggering a brawl. Lesnar cleared the ring with German Suplexes, then called out Strowman. Strowman backed off, allowing Reigns to hit a distracted Lesnar, who responded by hitting Reigns with an F5.

Backstage, Sami Zayn tried to get Rollins and Reigns pumped up for their match against Owens, Jericho, and Strowman, but was rebuffed.

The New Day came out and talked about the Royal Rumble, teasing dissension, but instead saying that if one of them wins, they all win. Titus O’Neil interrupted and said his new plan was to replace the New Day, then asked for one of New Day’s spots in the Rumble. He challenged any member of New Day to put up their spot in a match, and Big E accepted.
– Big E d. Titus O’Neil (pinfall, Big Ending)
Charlotte Flair came out to talk about “the secret of her success”, which basically consisted of her bragging about winning a lot and mocking Bayley, showing a bunch of photos of a younger Bayley having her picture taken with WWE Superstars, and poetry Bayley wrote as a kid about becoming a wrestler, because she’s nothing more than a wrestling fan who got lucky. Bayley finally interrupted, but Charlotte left the ring to avoid direct confrontation. Bayley correctly identified that Charlotte was playing mind games, and said she wasn’t ashamed of her past, or the passion she has for wrestling. She pointed out that Charlotte grew up with a father who got her a spot in WWE with one phone call, while Bayley’s father supported her by taking her to every wrestling show possible. Bayley offered up some new poetry, which centered around how she’s going to beat Charlotte at the Royal Rumble.
Backstage, Owens and Jericho attempted to talk strategy with Strowman. He wasn’t interested.
– Cedric Alexander d. The Brian Kendrick (pinfall, Lumbar Check)
During the match, Alicia Fox came to ringside and helped Cedric reach the ropes to break a Captain’s Hook. However, Alexander was confused by her assistance, and blew her off after the match.

– Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens d. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn (Strowman pinned Zayn, Running Powerslam)
Postmatch, Strowman tried to throw Sami through the announce table, but was cut off by Rollins and Reigns, who attempted to powerbomb Strowman through the same table. Owens and Jericho intercepted the attempt, but Rollins fought back and hit a Pedigree on Jericho. Owens finally flattened both Rollins and Reigns with chair shots, and powerbombed Reigns through the announce table.
