WWE May Cut Back On PPVs in 2017

In the face of falling ratings and a decline in subscriber numbers since WrestleMania, it appears as if WWE might be re-considering their plan to run 19 main roster PPVs in the upcoming year. While nothing is confirmed, reportedly the fact that subscribers numbers have gone down since the introduction of brand-specific PPVs has led WWE to a realization that more PPVs might not be the answer they were looking for.

WWE has currently only officially scheduled 4 PPVs in 2017 (Royal Rumble, Fastlane, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam), with a second, likely brand-specific one listed for February, and all other PPVs for the rest of the year also listed, none of which currently have a date or location.
