Member of the Hall of Fame tag team The Blackjacks and patriarch of the Windham-Rotunda wrestling dynasty Robert “Blackjack Mulligan” Windham passed away today at the age of 73. Windham was hospitalized in 2015 following a devastating heart attack, and his health had been rapidly declining in recent weeks. Windham was the head of a large wrestling family, as he was the father of Kendall Windham and WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham, and the father-in-law of Mike Rotunda (also known to WWE fans as IRS), as well as the grandfather of current WWE Superstars Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas.
As a wrestler, Blackjack Mulligan was a highly decorated athlete, winning multiple titles both as a tag team with his partner, Blackjack Lanza, and as singles competitor, including a single reign as WWWF (the direct precursor to WWE) Tag Team Champions.
Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Blackjack Mulligan.
