WWE Clash of Champions PPV Match Results

Every title on the brand was on the line in the very first Raw-exclusive PPV of the New Era, Clash of Champions! A total of five championships were defended on the show, plus Cesaro and Sheamus wrestled in the seventh match of their Best of Seven Series, with the winner receiving a “championship opportunity”! In case you missed it, here are all the results from Clash of Champions!

Pre-Show Match

– Nia Jax d. Alicia Fox (pinfall, Samoan Drop)

WWE Clash of Champions

– The New Day d. Gallows and Anderson to retain the Raw Tag Team Championships (Kofi pinned Anderson, Midnight Hour)

– TJ Perkins d. THE Brian Kendrick to retain the Cruiserweight Championship (submission, Figure 4 Kneebar)

Postmatch, Kendrick hugged Perkins, then headbutted him to the ground.

– Sheamus vs Cesaro ended in a No Contest. The Best of Seven Series remains tied at 3-3.

The finish saw Sheamus and Cesaro brawl at ringside until the ended up in the crowd, with Sheamus barely conscious and Cesaro injuring his arm. Doctors eventually determined neither man could continue. The live audience was less than pleased with the decision.

– Charlotte d. Bayley and Sasha Banks to retain the Raw Women’s Championship (Charlotte pinned Bayley, Big Boot)

– Roman Reigns d. Rusev to win the United States Championship (pinfall, Spear)

– Kevin Owens d. Seth Rollins (pinfall, Pop-Up Powerbomb)

At the end of the match, Chris Jericho ran out and liberally interfered, causing several false finishes and a ref bump. Eventually Stephanie sent out a second referee, but the distraction of his arrival allowed Owens to get the jump on Rollins for the win. Whose side is Stephanie on? Come on, guess.
