During an interview with a newspaper in Singapore, where he’s been doing promotional work for WWE, Daniel Bryan addressed the question that has been on fans’ minds ever since it was reported that he was taking more time off to deal with injuries accumulated over his career. In recent months, it has been revealed that Bryan was having trouble getting medically cleared to compete in the ring, and he was seeking a third opinion in an attempt to be allowed to resume his wrestling career. In the interview, Bryan talked about what it could mean for him if WWE doctors won’t let him return to a full-time WWE career.
“I think it could be the end of my career in WWE, but I don’t think it will be the end of my career. I could find another passion, but it would just be sad because this is what I have been most passionate about since I was five.”
Obviously, as far as we’re aware, this is a theoretical statement, and not an admission that Bryan has been unable to get medical clearance, but if true, it would be a sad ending to the WWE career of one of the most popular Superstars of the last several years.
