This Sunday, WWE presents the Fastlane Pay Per View, a speed bump on the Road to WrestleMania, between the much more important Royal Rumble and WrestleMania PPVs. In fact, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship won’t even be defended on this show, as the champion, Triple H, has decided to use the opportunity to have three of his greatest enemies battle it out for the chance to face him in the main event of WrestleMania. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Brock Lesnar will lock horns for that coveted spot, and who can say which man might emerge victorious?
Actually, we can. That’s what we’re doing here, telling you who we think will be taking home the victory in that match, and every other bout at Fastlane. So sit back, strap in, and enjoy the ride!
8. Kalisto vs Alberto Del Rio – 2/3 Falls For The US Championship
We had kind of hoped that this feud would be over after these two traded the title back and forth three times in January, but apparently one more match was needed to settle things for good (hopefully). This match got unceremoniously bumped to the pre-PPV kickoff show, while simultaneously adding the 2/3 Falls stipulation, so we’re not quite sure whether to expect a classic or one of the most rushed three fall matches in wrestling history. Kalisto and Del Rio actually do work well together, as long as Sin Cara doesn’t get involved and Del Rio stops trying to hit his stupid corner stomp finisher, so it might be one to watch. In the end, we’re picking Kalisto to retain and leave the floundering League of Nations in his rear view mirror (sorry, we promise to cut back on the car-related puns).
