There’s no rule that says a professional basketball player has to be great at shooting free throws. One of the greatest big men ever, Shaquille O’Neal, only ever mustered up a 52.7% career percentage from the charity stripe. But even that is almost ten percent better than DeAndre Jordan’s lowly career average of 43%, which was on full display Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
In a close game that the Clippers would eventually lose to the lowly 76ers, Jordan would miss so badly on these two free throw attempts that the Philly fans could barely believe their eyes.
Jordan finished with 10 points and 20 boards, but only went 4-for-12 from the line in the 121-110 loss.
