It seems like we’ve been talking about The Undertaker’s impending retirement for years, and that’s mostly because we have. It’s clear the end of the road is coming for the Dead Man, as he has been telling people as recently as WrestleMania 32 that he had probably wrestled his last match (though nobody really believes it). With over three decades in the wrestling business and at 51 years of age, anyone’s body would start to break down, which is probably why he was recently photographed in public using crutches. Immediately, speculation has arisen that he might be far too broken-down to ever wrestle again (even though there are already rumors that plans are in place for him to wrestle at WrestleMania 33), which ignores the multitude of minor injuries that people get in day-to-day life (that become less minor once you’re on the other side of 50) that might also require them to temporarily use crutches. Sure, it’s possible, and even likely, that an aging Undertaker might need a little assistance to get around these days, but until there’s some sort of really, really official announcement about his retirement, we’re going to say that some people might be blowing things out of proportion based on one picture.
