Smackdown Ratings Down Slightly Headed Into No Mercy

While Raw has seen some wild swings in the ratings since the brand extension, Smackdown Live seems to just putter along at a fairly consistent pace, and that remained true this week, as the brand geared up for their next PPV, No Mercy. Facing some added competition due to the Vice Presidential Debates, Smackdown pulled in 2.32 million viewers and a 0.71 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down just a touch from last week. The show did drop all the way to #7 in the original cable rankings for the night, behind debate coverage (which occupied four slots), the BET Awards, and the winner for the evening, a highly competitive MLB Wild Card game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles.
