Smackdown Live Viewership Beats Raw To Close Out 2016

A heavily-hyped episode of Smackdown Live that featured three title matches and the return of John Cena drove Smackdown Live to its much-deserved first ratings win over the flagship show since the brand split officially began. Overall, Smackdown brought in 2.89 million viewers, just edging out Raw’s 2.86 million average, and a significant increase over last week’s episode. The show also brought in a 0.94 rating in the 18-49 demographic, good enough for third overall among original cable programming for Tuesday night, behind History Channel’s Curse of Oak Island and an NCAA Bowl Game on ESPN.
