Every wrestler has a dream match. That one potential opponent they dream of facing off against in the main event of WrestleMania. And even though Seth Rollins has already enjoyed WrestleMania moments with the likes of Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Triple H, he’s still holding out hope for one matchup in particular.
Rollins recently appeared on the Eagle 97.7 radio station in Delaware and called out none other than The Rock himself as a potential WrestleMania opponent.
“Obviously ‘Rocky’ is a little busy these days doing some Hollywood things, making movies, doing TV shows, all sorts of good stuff,” Rollins said. “If the opportunity came about I’d have no problem taking on The Rock at WrestleMania, sounds like a good time to me.”
“I’m in the prime of my career right now. The Rock’s past his prime, he’s had his days, he’s an old man at this point in time,” Rollins said. “I’m young, youthful, and vibrant. I’m ready to go.”
The Rock has been known to return for brief WrestleMania appearances, even beating Erick Rowan in just six seconds during an impromptu match at WreslteMania 32. Of course, he’s mostly keeping busy these days by appearing is pretty much every movie known to mankind and also starring in HBO’s Ballers.
Rollins, a former WWE champion, also talked about wanting to get another crack at the title.
“If it were up to me I’d have another title run tomorrow, but you got to wait for those title shots,” Rollins explained. “Our champion currently is Brock Lesnar on RAW, our Universal Champion, he is a force to be reckoned with and he’s also somebody who chooses to defend his title and fight on his own time. Right now my focus is not there, but eventually I will get back there and I’d love to be Universal Champion sooner than later.”
