Ronda Rousey Says She’s Almost Done With MMA

It sounds like Ronda Rousey’s scheduled fight with UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes on December 30th could be one of the final ones of the MMA phenom’s career, as Rousey made an appearance on Ellen today, where she implied that her fighting career is very close to coming to an end.

“I’m wrapping it up. This is definitely one of my last fights. So everyone better watch. The show isn’t going to be around forever.”

Since losing the Bantamweight title to Holly Holm a few months ago, Rousey has largely disappeared from the public eye, taking a hiatus from the ring and also from her attempted career in Hollywood. However, one arena where Rousey could still find some success could be pro wrestling, specifically WWE. Rousey made headlines when she had an unannounced appearance at WrestleMania 31, interacting with The Rock, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H, and the admitted wrestling fan would probably be welcomed with open arms if she decided to trade in the octagon for the squared circle.

Nothing is definite, of course, and Rousey winning the title at UFC 207 would almost certainly put the brakes on any retirement talk, but it seems as if the idea of Rousey in a WWE ring isn’t as unlikely as it may have seemed in the past.
