To the shock of many, WWE has announced that they have suspended Roman Reigns 30 days for his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. The specific reason for Reigns’ suspension is not known at this time.
It is unknown how this will affect WWE’s plans going forward, as Reigns was just announced as part of a main event Triple Threat match against both WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins at the upcoming Battleground PPV. It should be noted that Reigns’ suspension would be finished before the Pay Per View, which airs on July 24th, however, he will not appear on any episodes of WWE programming for the next month, including the scheduled Draft episode of Smackdown on July 19th, which is expected to kick off the new WWE brand split.
I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.
