Roman Reigns’ SummerSlam Opponent Revealed On Raw

With Finn Balor defeating Roman Reigns last week on Raw to earn a match against Seth Rollins for the new WWE Universal Championship, many wondered what was next for “The Guy”, now that it seemed like he was being moved away from the main event, however temporarily, after two years of WWE pushing him into that spot. This week on Raw, it looks like we now know who his SummerSlam opponent will be, as Reigns interrupted a post-match promo by the United States Champion, Rusev, seeming to signify that the two will be butting heads for the near future.

Ironically, during Reigns’ original super-push, many felt that if WWE had built him up slowly by having him win a mid-card title and defend that for a while before moving up to the World title picture, he might have had a better time of it. In any event, with both Reigns and Rusev considered solid and under-rated wrestlers, their SummerSlam match for the US Title could be one to watch!
