The first Raw after a very eventful Royal Rumble Pay Per View featured an appearance by hometown hero and huge movie star The Rock, as the hype for WrestleMania 32 kicks into high gear. And The Rock’s return (which was advertised as a surprise, but fairly easily guessed by many), as well as Triple H’s first day as the new WWE Champion, and the Raw debut of AJ Styles, helped WWE to its highest ratings in quite some time, as the show broke 4 million viewers for the first time since June, a jump of nearly half a million viewers over last week. Raw ended up averaging 4.1 million viewers, and a 1.49 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographics (their highest demo ratings since March of last year), even with the usual third hour drop. With no football as competition, Raw was the most-watched cable program for Monday evening.

Hourly Breakdown

Hour 1 (8PM-9PM): 4.14 million viewers, 1.44 demo rating
Hour 2 (9PM-10PM): 4.18 million viewers, 1.53 demo rating
Hour 3 (10PM-11PM + overrun): 3.97 million viewers, 1.51 demo rating
