Ric Flair Says WWE Took Spots Out Of Women’s Hell In A Cell Match

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair did an interview for Busted Open Radio this week, in which he talked extensively about his daughter Charlotte, including revealing some interesting details from the Women’s Hell in a Cell match which took place this past Sunday.

“They took two huge spots out of the match, during the match, because they were afraid Sasha [Banks] was going to get hurt. If the original plan had been, there were two things and I don’t want to say what they were, but you can only imagine. One of them involved a moonsault.”

Given that Charlotte and Sasha have often wrestled with seemingly little regard for their own safety, perhaps it’s good to know that there’s some backstage willing to say “No, you probably shouldn’t do that”, and it’s not like two more incredibly dangerous spots would have made that match any better, after all.

Flair also spoke about how John Cena won’t really break his mark for World title when he hits 16, and why Goldberg’s return worked so well. You can listen to the whole interview on SiriusXM.
