Raw Viewership Falls Back After Last Week’s Rise

WWE may be entering a New Era, but they are still having trouble bringing in viewers in recent weeks. After a slight bump in viewership following last week’s Payback Pay Per View, Raw’s ratings fell back again this week, facing stiff competition from the NBA playoffs to finish fifth overall in Monday cable original programming.

For the whole show, Raw averaged 3.24 million viewers and a 1.23 in the 18-49 demographic, holding steady for two hours before the usual drop-off in the third hour. Those numbers are still much better than the record lows Raw was bringing in prior to Payback. The additional good news is, ratings help may be on the way, as Vince McMahon revealed during yesterday’s shareholder conference call that along with John Cena’s announced Memorial Day return, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, and Randy Orton all all expected back by early June.

Hourly Breakdown

hour 1 (8-9 PM): 3.35 million viewers, 1.14 demo rating
Hour 2 (9-10 PM): 3.36 million viewers, 1.19 demo rating
Hour 3 (10-11 PM + overrun): 3.01 million viewers, 1.06 demo rating
