While WWE contracts are generally secretive and there has been no confirmation from the man himself, according to industry sources, the WWE talent contract of Paul Heyman, the former owner of ECW and current advocate for The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, has recently expired. At this point, as far as anyone knows, there has not been any discussion related to bringing Heyman back.

Obviously, this could be nothing, and there’s a good chance that we’ll see Heyman at the side of Lesnar when he returns to WWE for his SummerSlam match against Randy Orton. However, given Brock’s very public drug test failures prior to his UFC 200 fight, there are rumors that WWE may be less than enamoured with Lesnar right now (there’s a report that after he defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200, Lesnar was set to be picked first overall in the WWE Draft, until his test failures came to light), which could mean WWE won’t bother spending the money that would be required to bring Heyman back to follow him around.

Still, until we hear it from Heyman’s mouth, this is all just speculation, and we wouldn’t be shocked to see Heyman back in WWE in some fashion in the future.
