Following his removal from WWE.com’s roster page, it has been confirmed that NXT wrestler Solomon Crowe, who wrestled in the independent circuit as Sami Callihan, has asked for and been given his release from his NXT contract. Crowe signed with WWE in 2013 and was assigned to the developmental league, eventually debuting under a “hacker” gimmick in early 2015. Crowe did not catch on with the NXT audience, and his character was scaled back significantly in the ensuing months. Notably, Crowe had been briefly working on NXT live events with Zahra Schreiber, girlfriend of WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, as his valet, before she was fired for posting Nazi-related images online. Crowe’s last televised match was as part of the #1 Contender Battle Royal on NXT, which aired in October.
