John Cena And Randy Orton Not Expected To Be At Survivor Series

On a cross-brand show that will feature three huge Elimination matches between Raw and Smackdown, you would think that the authority figures for both brands would want to have their biggest names available. However, due to some scheduling issues, it looks like Smackdown will be without two of its top guys, as both John Cena and Randy Orton have been removed from advertising for the November PPV.

Cena was originally supposed to be booked for the show, likely as part of the big 5-on-5 Elimination Match, but now it seems as if his work on the reality show American Grit will keep him off WWE programming until the end of the year at the earliest. Meanwhile, Orton’s wife is expected to give birth to the couple’s second child during the week of the PPV, and Orton has been removed from all shows in the week leading up to Survivor Series, as well as the week after, in preparation for that joyous event.

The good news is, James Ellsworth is still available for the show!
