Jimmy Snuka Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ In Girlfriend’s Death

The trial of WWF Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka got underway this week, with Snuka officially entering a plea of “Not Guilty” to charges of third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of his girlfriend, Nancy Argentino, in 1983. Snuka was arrested back in September of this year, after authorities re-opened the case when inconsistencies arose between Snuka’s testimony from the time of the original incident and his recently released biography.

Snuka’s lawyers have claimed that his early-onset dementia makes him unfit to stand trial, as his ability to recount the events of thirty years ago would be compromised by his failing health. They have also asserted Snuka’s Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Snuka could face up to 40 years in jail if convicted. will have more on this case as it develops.
