Is WWE Planning A Women’s Hell in a Cell Match?

With the Raw-exclusive Hell in a Cell PPV only a few weeks away, questions have arisen as to which matches WWE will have take place inside the titular structure. On Raw, it was revealed that one Hell in a Cell match will take place between United States champion Roman Reigns and Rusev, in the culmination of their months-long feud, but there are rumors that WWE is planning for at least one more match using the Cell, and it might not be the one you expected. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there is a significant chance that WWE wants to blow off the feud between new Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and Charlotte in a Hell in a Cell match, which would allow them to advertise yet another “first ever” accomplishment for women in WWE.

Now, given that the feud between Sasha and Charlotte has existed off and on since as early as the 2016 Royal Rumble, in addition to their work together in NXT, there is certainly enough history there to warrant such a massive blowoff. However, the question has to be if WWE is willing to put even two of the most talented female wrestlers in the company inside such a demanding gimmick match, which has a history of high expectations for violence and crazy stunts. In our opinion, we’d love to see what the women might try to do within the confines of the Cell, while simultaneously fearing what lengths they might go to in an attempt to steal the show, but that’s not really any different than how we feel when any wrestlers are put into a Hell in a Cell match, so maybe they should give it a shot and see what happens.
