If You Didn’t Like Clash of Champions, Mick Foley Has Some Advice

Raw GM, bestselling author, and one of our favorite wrestlers of all time, Mick Foley, apparently decided that this week would be the one where he ruined any remaining goodwill he had with wrestling fans. We were part of what seems to be a large group of people that had issues with the way the seventh match in the Best of Seven Series between Cesaro and Sheamus ended at Clash of Champions, and it seems that Foley is of the following opinion in regards to people like us:

Gee, it sure is nice to have one of our personal heroes curse at us for calling out the bad finish to a wrestling match and claiming we’re not allowed to be fans anymore, regardless of whether he’s doing it in the capacity as an on-screen character or real life human being. We’re sorry, Mick, but having a non-finish to the climactic part of a seven-match series (that was actually nine matches) which was the result of two guys wrestling each other exclusively for a month and a half, in order to stretch one more match out of it either on tonight’s Raw or the next Pay Per View, is an asinine decision that deserves to be mocked. If liking the way that match ended is what it takes to be allowed to call ourselves wrestling fans, well, then we’ll need to find a different term for what we are.

Have a nice day!
