Something you might not be aware of when it comes to WWE’s non-televised live events is that WWE runs two different shows with different wrestlers on each, in order to maximize the number of cities they can visit every week. In fact, there are rumors that part of the reason why Roman Reigns lost the WWE World Heavyweight title at Money in the Bank is because the shows he headlines, which are considered the “A” shows from a business perspective, had seen a massive drop-off in business and were making comparable money to the “B” shows, which were headlined by, surprise, surprise, Dean Ambrose.

Of course, the other reason why Reigns lost is his 30-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy, which gave Ambrose the title but also put WWE in a bit of a predicament when it came to their advertised live events in Florida, one of which was sold on the prospect of seeing the World Champion, and the other, at least in part, on Dean Ambrose’s presence. Rather than disappoint their fans, WWE and Ambrose had a novel solution, as Ambrose wrestled the first match of the card in Jacksonville against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and then made the drive to Orlando and competed in the main event of that show against Seth Rollins, only a few hours later.

Obviously, Ambrose can’t keep that up for ever, nor should he, but that takes some serious dedication, and hopefully it also speaks to the amount of faith WWE might have in their new Champion. Or Roman will just win the belt back at Battleground, because WWE. Still, hope remains!
