Brock Lesnar Officially Suspended And Fined For UFC Drug Test Failures

The investigation into Brock Lesnar’s failed drug tests prior to UFC 200 has concluded, and Lesnar has officially been suspended from UFC for one year, and fined an astonishing $250,000. The amount of the fine, while large, is relatively paltry when compared to the millions Lesnar reportedly made for defeating Mark Hunt (officially, the fight will now be ruled a “No Contest”) at the heavily-hyped PPV this summer. In addition, while Lesnar will now be eligible to fight again in UFC, he remains under WWE contract (and is one of two Superstars currently announced as competing in the upcoming Royal Rumble match), and given his age and the recent controversy that surfaced after it was revealed that he had failed two separate drug tests in advance of the show, it’s unlikely that Lesnar would even be interested in returning to the octagon.
